Sunday, August 6 – Friday, August 11, 2017
All participants will have single rooms in Smith’s air-conditioned Cutter-Ziskind dorm, directly across the street from the Campus Center. Our dining hall is located on the first floor of the dorm. There is an elevator in the dorm. The mattresses are standard dorm XL twin mattresses. You may wish to bring a foam mattress topper or any additional support aids if you require them for sleeping comfort. Limited extra fans and blankets will be available.
Meals are included with both residential and commuter event registration (although commuters do not receive breakfast, only lunch and dinner). We will eat in the Cutter-Ziskind dining hall. The dining staff at Smith does a wonderful job accommdating allergies and restrictions. You can alert us to any special needs during registration. In addition to meals, we will be offering tea, coffee, and snacks at break periods during the workshop. A cafe is also available in the campus center where you can purchase meals and snacks at an additional charge. The town of Northampton, with dozens of restaurants and stores, is several blocks away from campus.
