Build the Access Grant Fund

Give a gift of possibilty

Cuts in professional development funds at colleges and universities are hitting adjunct, part-time, and temporary faculty and staff particularly hard. This means that many people who wish to attend our events–who are eager to develop and share contemplative approaches with their students and colleagues–are unable to afford travel and attendance.

We believe that an inability to access institutional and financial support should not be a barrier to participation.  And so, to help us cover this gap, today we are asking you to make a contribution to our Access Grant Fund. Personal contributions are not a substitute for systemic change in academia, but they do help make participation possible for many more people this year.

Matching Grant Opportunity for 2018!

Thanks to the generosity of a dedicated donor, $5000 is now available to match and double your contributions, for a total of up to $10,000 towards the access grants!

Between 2015 and 2017, we provided 151 access grants, totaling nearly $50,000, sourced from the revenue generated from our events. This is the same money that we rely on to keep our doors open, reallocated so that more people can participate in this work. Even when we gave away more access grants than we had budgeted for, we were only able to provide funding to 60% of those who requested it.

Please make a gift to our Access Grant Fund if you share our belief that everyone should have the opportunity to be a part of our community for contemplative practices in higher education.
